The Appearance of Bliss

This is the first post in Keeping the Flame’s “Farewell Denton” Series. This week will feature one post per day up until moving day (May 22), and will feature reflections on my undergraduate experience, posts about Denton in general, and posts about graduation!

Hello, friends!

As you might have noticed, I have taken a week’s sabbatical from blogging in order to get myself all graduated from UNT!

It was a whirlwind of a week, including finals, term papers, and frantically securing a sublease for me to move into in Austin.

Graduation day was a complete success, and I am so happy that I got to spend the day with my family.

Please enjoy this photo montage from the best day ever!

“Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it.”
